I met Norris + Angie fifteen years ago (what?!?!) at Bethel College on our choir retreat to an old church, somewhere in the midwest, that smelled like moth balls and Church potluck dinners of days gone by. I really don't remember much of that retreat - I'm sure that during that long weekend there was a lot of rehearsing, memorizing and rehearsing again, but all I truly remember is sitting in folding chairs in the basement and laughing.
Those 4 college years were all spent together; both Norris and Angie are entwined into my college memories and now, after spending the morning with their gorgeous family, I'm reminded of those days - because these two adore each other and are still the best of friends.
Between Grad school, an around the world move to the Middle East, Law School, several cross country moves, two kids, and now another across the globe move coming up, these two have been through more life altering and earth shaking experiences than most people I know.
And they're still best friends. Despite the hard work, sleepless nights, loss, and cross-cultural living, you can see it in their eyes. They adore one another.
We spent the morning walking the campus of Notre Dame, where Norris just finished his Law degree.
What a grand adventure awaits the four of you!!
